    Course Descriptions

    Athletics:
    This course provides an extensive array of activities with an abundance of opportunities for every student to be successful. It is a physical education program where students are totally accountable for their own actions. It provides physical activity that will enable each student to monitor desired gains and experiences that give release from emotional strain and tension. It allows students to give feedback and share ideas that will enhance their program and to experience competitive and non-competitive activities as well as team and individual activities. This class helps develop good social behavior with other students and develop skills, interest and appreciation for the need of life-long learning activities and recreation.

    Health:
    The student will learn the structures, functions and relationships among human body systems; principles and practices of physical and mental health; diseases and methods for prevention, treatment and control; principles of movement and physical fitness; methods used to assess health, reduce risk factors and avoid high-risk behaviors; consumer health issues and responses to emergency situations.
